Elona Health aimed to develop a digital therapeutic (DTx) app to support patients' progress in treating depression and anxiety between appointments, while adhering to regulatory requirements.
Digital therapeutics are evidence-based software interventions that prevent, manage, or treat medical disorders. They represent a transformative approach in healthcare, leveraging technology to deliver personalized treatment options.
Think-it’s role
The Think-it team came in as the engineering team tasked with blending medical science and tech to quickly build the best solution.
The catch: Just like changing the ingredients of a regulated medicine, changing the features of a regulated app would require a new certification. It had to be right from the start.

Elona faced a clear regulatory milestone in 2022 - with a strong MVP they met these requirements and became reimbursable by health insurance. With these standards in place, the team was ready to take on the next goal: building machine learning-driven recommendations for therapists and patient exercises.
